BEF Biosystems proposes an innovative model of organic residues management: a bioconversion system which employs the larvae of a particular fly, Hermetia Illucens. Our technology will significantly enables a cost reduction of organic residue disposal. In a couple of weeks, the flies can reduce organic biomass volume by 65%, transforming the waste nutrients in derivatives high value products: – Larvae meal, to be used as a component of compound feedstuffs; – Protein oil extract; – High-quality soil improvers and fertilizers; – Other products intended for the chemical and cosmetics market. A prototype of our technology has been running for about a year at the BEF headquarters. We are looking for parter to finance the development.
