What is Startup OLÉ about?

Startup Olé is a tech-event held annually since 2014. The attendees range from investors, corporates, mid-caps, entrepreneurs, accelerators/incubators, media outlets, governments/public admin. and universities/scientific & tech parks. This contains a mix of CEOs and founders of tech startups, spin-offs and innovative SMEs together with a range of people from across the ecosystem.

The 2025 edition managed to gather more than 715 key players that participated in more than 85 round tables, more than 320 participating startups from 23 different countries that participated in activities such as pitch competitions, networking cocktails or 1-to-1 meetings with investors and corporations. A total of 123 1-to-1 meetings were held physically.

Where and when will Startup OLÉ be held?

Startup OLÉ Salamanca 2026 will take place in person in Salamanca, from 13 to 15 October 2026.

It is held in two buildings:

B1 Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones de Castilla y León (main venue: fair, panels, pitch, summits).

B2 Colegio Arzobispo Fonseca (networking cocktails only).

Activities

What is the matchmaking activity?

Matchmaking (Matchso) is for startups and investors only. It consists of 1-to-1 meetings. Investors choose which startups they want to meet; startups do not request meetings. Startups must register on the platform before the event. Platform: https://matchso.eu. Access issues: hello@startupole.eu.

What is the pitch competition?

It is a contest for startups with a Startup Ticket. Each selected startup gives a live presentation in English (3 minutes) plus 2 minutes of Q&A. There is no video. Signing up does not guarantee a slot; confirmation is sent by email. Deadline for submission: 1 October 2026. Questions: hello@startupole.eu.

How does networking work?

Networking is an activity whose objective is to expand the network of professional contacts. In this way, business and/or employment opportunities are generated.
