The personal data we collect through the forms on this website, as well as those you provide us by email or by other means, will be used for the following purposes:

To provide the services requested by the user.

To improve the user experience and analyze their behavior on the website.
Why and on what legal basis do we process your data?
We will process your data in order to manage your participation in the Research Project SYSTEMEU. Your data will be processed based on:
Your consent (Article 6.1.a) GDPR), to participate in the Project, and the publication of results, where applicable, regarding biographical references whose publication may be necessary in the Project.
The performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller (Art. 6.1.e) GDPR), according to the purposes established in Article 2 of Organic Law 2/2023, of March 22, of the University System.

4.- Data Retention
The personal data provided will be retained for the time necessary to fulfill the purpose for which they were collected and to determine possible liabilities that may arise, in addition to the periods established in the regulations on archives and documentation.

Data will not be disclosed to third parties except in cases of legal obligation or where necessary for the provision of the service (e.g., technology or shipping service providers). In any case, the guarantees provided by current legislation will be applied.

7.- Security Measures
As a public administration, we apply the technical and organizational measures dictated by the National Security Framework. This includes a series of recommendations to help ensure the security of information systems and thus avoid theft, alteration, or unauthorized access to data.
In case of outsourcing services, we will require and ensure that the processor applies measures analogous to those of the National Security Framework.

This Privacy Policy may be updated based on legislative changes or the website’s own activity. It is recommended to review it periodically.

This section contains terms and conditions of use of Startup Olé websites (startupoleaccelerator.es/com and startupole.eu), as well as the privacy policy. The use of these websites confers the status of USER, and it entails the acceptance of the following provisions:
1.- Ownership of the websites
Ownership of the websites startupoleaccelerator.es/com and startupole.eu belongs to Startup Olé, a trademark registered at the European Union Intellectual Property Office on October 31st, 2017, under license number 016979023.

2.- Acceptance of conditions of use
The use of Startup Olé websites confers the status of user, and it entails full and unreserved acceptance of the provisions included in this section once the user accesses such websites.
The user must carefully read the terms and conditions of use as well as the privacy policy when he/she decides to access these websites.
Startup Olé reserves the right to modify the terms and conditions of use as well as the privacy policy, therefore, the user must check these periodically for changes.
3.- Objective
The goal of Startup Olé is boosting the culture of entrepreneurship and supporting startups and SMEs in their search for funding sources and talent, as well as facilitating their internationalisation.
To achieve that, Startup Olé engages such companies with big corporates, investors, accelerators, business angels, mentors, coworking spaces, universities/scientific centres, media outlets, public administrations, etc.
In addition, Startup Olé implements training programmes for entrepreneurs, prospective entrepreneurs and college students with the aim of giving them the necessary skills to develop their ideas in a viable and effective way.
4.- Privacy policy
Startup Olé undertakes to respect personal data and guarantees that these are not subject of improper use or processing. By using our websites and providing contact details and data, the user is deemed to have read and understood our terms and conditions of use.
Startup Olé complies with existing national and European legislation on data protection: General regulation on data protection -Regulation (EU) 2016/679, of April 27, 2016, GDPR.
5.- Who will manage your personal data?

6.- What will your data be used for?
Subscribers’ and contact details: These data (contact email) provided by the user to Startup Olé are used to inform and disseminate activities implemented by Startup Olé with the aim of fulfilling the goals mentioned in section 3 above.
Mailing and newsletter campaigns are carried out periodically to inform and disseminate such activities.
Contact details provided to Startup Olé are used to manage all contacts and requests sent to the organisation.
Data of users registered for our activities: This type of data is used for managing, evaluating and supervising participation of the users in the activities designed and implemented by Startup Olé. The videos and images uploaded to the participant’s profile may be used to publish them on the website of the event / activity / initiative to give visibility to their participation and manage participation.
Cookies: The use of cookies in Startup Olé sites is intended to improve users’ experience, compile statistical data and offer a better service. Information obtained from cookies is anonymous and shall not in any case be associated with the user.
7.- Image management
Events and activities organized and implemented by Startup Olé may be recorded in whole or in part, and pictures may be taken by Startup Olé for future distribution, for communication purposes, through internal and external channels including the internet. By attending the event/activity you provide consent for the use of your image.
8.- Data transfer to third parties
Occasionally and with the aim of fulfilling the goals described in section 3 above, Startup Olé may transfer to third parties (corporates, investors, accelerators, etc.) certain data provided by the users (name, contact email and information concerning the users’ startups), with the goal of allowing these third parties to be part, directly or indirectly, of the implementation of the activity. Only data that are deemed essential for implementing the activity will be transferred to third parties.
Persons, organisations, corporates and institutions that are part, directly or indirectly, of the activities implemented by Startup Olé will only access those data that are required for completing such activities. These third parties are required to keep information confidential and shall not use it for purposes different to those requested by us.
9.- Storage period
Personal data provided by the users will be kept for their processing according to the goal to which they were provided and pursuant to the legal basis of their treatment according to applicable law.
10.- Which rights do you have over your data?
Pursuant to applicable law, all users of Startup Olé websites have rights of access, rectification and erasure, limitation, opposition and portability. Users may exercise such right by contacting hello@startupole.eu.
Access, rectification and erasure: Users have the right to access their personal data. They may request inaccurate data to be modified and they may request that they are erased in the eventuality that, among other reasons, such data are no longer needed for the implementation of the activities to which they were compilated.
Limitation: Where appropriate, interested parties may request limitation in the processing of their personal data, in which case those data will be kept only for the exercise of defence of legal claims.
Opposition: Interested parties can object to the processing of their data. Startup Olé will immediately cease to process such data, except on compelling and legitimate grounds or for the exercise or defence of claims as long as legal obligations are in place.
Portability: Interested parties may request the data they have provided to Startup Olé to be sent to them, and may request that those data are sent to another controller they choose.
